The Monument of Peace sits on top of Cape Greco, and is a popular attraction for the more adventurous tourist. I first became aware of it when I was visiting the canyon, which is a remote area below it. I could hear distant voices and looking up I was able to make out the odd head peaking out from between the rocks. Once I returned to my car I located the track that went near the summit, found the carpark, and set off up the track.
The views from the summit are spectacular, and the monument itself is very photogenic. Apparently, this is the southern most point of Europe. That was about the only bit of information I could find about the monument when I looked online. I guess the views just speak for themselves...
